Can you miss out on quests in BG3? ›

Baldur's Gate 3 is packed with incredible fantasy quests, many of which are optional and easy to miss. Some quests involve finding hidden items or characters in obscure locations throughout the game.

With so much content to wade through, it's all too easy to miss side quests that can make your journey easier or reveal new bits of lore. Before you move on to the next act, you'll want to make sure you're not missing out on any pivotal side quests.

Number of Playthroughs Needed to Platinum: All trophies/achievements can be gained in 1 or 2 playthroughs.

The Paladin is the strongest class and subclass in Baldur's Gate 3 due to its damage output, survivability, and versatility. The Paladins can access various weapons and armour types, allowing for diverse playstyles. Combining Extra Attack with Divine Smite results in exceptional raw damage potential.

1: Yes, going evil will have some companions leave you (specifically Karlach, Wyll, and Gale... though I think you can persuade Gale into staying.). In return you do get a couple evil companions. 2: While it is entirely possible to do an evil playthrough, doing so cuts out a massive portion of the game's content.

Baldur's Gate 3: Act 3 Point of No Return

This will be the point after which everything that happened before will be completely blocked, so players should take some time to level up before heading to Baldur's Gate. And the last point of no return in the game is Elder Brain.

If you roll successfully on either three options, you'll whip the brain out. If you fail the roll, you can always load back and try again, or be faced with either destroying or leaving it. If you destroy it, you'll squash it with no chance to fail. Leaving it in the body ends the quest and Us won't join your party.

Baldur's Gate 3 is based on Dungeons & Dragons 5e but has a maximum level of 12, not the tabletop RPG's maximum level of 20. Expansion of the level cap is unlikely. Higher-level spells and stronger villains in late-game DnD make it challenging to continue Baldur's Gate 3 past level 12 in a video game format.

While it's not too different from the scene with Henk, the Honk cutscene is most likely the rarest interaction in the game, and probably impossible to find unless you're deliberately seeking it out.

The rarest achievement is playing instruments, which many players may not be aware of or may not prioritize during their playthrough. The Busker achievement, earned by earning over a hundred gold from playing music in public, is the least-achieved achievement on Steam and is also rare on PlayStation 5.

Leave No One Behind is by far one of the hardest achievements in BG3 as throughout an entire playthrough every single Tiefling refugee must be saved. This is not a mission contained to just one event or even act, as Tieflings need saving throughout the entire game.

But let's talk romance: while Baldur's Gate 3 has a number of intriguing romance paths, Shadowheart's is easily the most popular, with 51.3% players completing her romance arc (which you can find a walkthrough of here). It turns out she really is God's favorite princess and the most interesting girl in the world.

Each subclass has its own strengths, with players likely picking them for different reasons, though the hardest to master has to be the Arcane Trickster due to a player struggling to balance their magic alongside their damage.

Bard, Cleric, and Paladin are the easiest classes for newcomers to Baldur's Gate 3 due to their versatility and beginner-friendly mechanics. Each class has a unique role to play, with subclasses providing additional options for players to customize their characters to their playstyle.

You're fine. Most of their stories progress just by progressing the main story. Just speak with everyone whenever you feel the need for a long rest and you should be good to go. I've never had to go out of my way to proc companion story conversations.

None of the main story has time limits, some side quests do but im not sure if any in act 2 do, time limits only start once you get within proximity of the quest giving event so if you're struggling early on then you're not gonna hit any of them and will be fine.

One location that many players miss in Act 1 of BG3 is the Apothecary's Cellar, which can be accessed through a hatch in the house just south of the Blighted Village waypoint. At first, this cellar appears normal, and many players will feel like they've fully looted it.

Unlocking companions isn't a guarantee, and some are entirely missable. That means you'll need to go out of your way to find some of them and recruit them to your party.
